Downing is home to a diverse and widening community of different faiths as well as many members who practise no religion at all so, and the College’s serenely beautiful Chapel warmly welcomes everyone to use its peaceful, friendly space for quiet contemplation, prayer and worship.

The Chapel hosts a a programme of regular services and observances, along with one of Downing’s most popular events, the much-loved “Keith’s Café”. Every Wednesday during term time, the College Chaplain, Revd Dr Keith Eyeons, serves afternoon tea to the members of the College to provide a moment of respite and calm amidst the students’ busy study schedules.
