The Harding Challenge launched to increase undergraduate support

Through the visionary philanthropy of David and Claudia Harding, the University of Cambridge has launched an exciting opportunity to double the impact of new gifts to student support.

The Harding Challenge means any new donors to the Collegiate University will unlock, pound for pound, a contribution to a special fund for undergraduate financial support.  This challenge is the first time the Collegiate University has come together in a fundraising effort to extend the impact of a donor’s gift. Gifts of any size up to £100,000 qualify and every pound makes a difference.

Director of Development, Jo Finnie Jones says, “If you have never made a gift before to Downing, please donate as generously as you can today and double the impact of your gift through the Harding Challenge, a once-in-a-generation offer that provides an outstanding opportunity to support students in greatest need at Downing. Your donation will go entirely to benefit students at Downing and will help us provide bursaries for undergraduates through the Cambridge Bursary Scheme, studentships for talented postgraduates facing even more debt, and hardship grants for students at all levels in urgent financial need.”

Help Downing students today and multiply the power of your donation
