Downing College open days 2020

Saturday 2 May - all subjects.

The open day is likely to start around 10am and include talks by the Admissions Tutor, meetings with Directors of Studies, a tour of Downing College and cafeteria lunch in the College Hall.  A full programme will be available nearer the date of the open day.  If you would like to book a place please do the following:

Email your name, the date of the open day you wish to attend, the subject you are interesting in studying at university, the name of the school you are currently attending to: admissions@dow.cam.ac.uk

If you cannot attend an open day, you are very welcome to come and look round Downing College at a time that suits you and, if you would like to, talk to the Admissions Office staff.  We cannot arrange meetings with current students or Directors of Studies except at open days.

The Admissions Office is open:

Monday to Thursday 9.30am – 12.00pm and 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Fridays from 9.30am - 12.00pm and 1.00pm - 4.00pm.

You do not need to make an appointment, but you may wish to check that we will be available when you are planning to visit by emailing the Admissions Office directly: admissions@dow.cam.ac.uk

The Open Day Travel Fund, administered by the central Cambridge Admissions Office, assists young people who are in care and care leavers with travel to any of 100+ Open Days organised by the University and Colleges of Cambridge.

Applicants must have been in care for 3 or more months in the school years including and after Year 10. Applicants must also either be either:

  • in Year 11 or above
  • from a further education background
  • a prospective mature student.
