In conversation with Stuart Pearson Wright

Book now via Eventbrite.

From November 2018 to February 2019, we joined artist Stuart Pearson Wright in an exploration of his personal history in the exhibition HALFBOY.

Since then, the exhibition has traveled to Snape Maltings and the School of Art Gallery, Aberystwyth. Two paintings from the exhibition were shown in the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in 2019. The National Gallery now sells prints of three of his paintings as part of their celebration of the BP Portrait Award. He has found new gallery representation. He has been named one of the top 25 British figurative painters, sharing the honour with David Hockney, Chris Ofili, Jenny Saville, and others.

And he has continued to make beautiful, challenging, and unsettling work.

We catch up with Wright to talk about the aftermath of HALFBOY, his current projects, and life as an artist in pandemic times. Conversation with Dr Prerona Prasad, Curator, The Heong Gallery.
