Fellow's Evening Talk

Tuesday 18 March 2025

The second in this term’s Talks by Fellows will take place in the Senior Combination Room (SCR) on Tuesday 18 March at 6pm. On these occasions, Fellows talk informally to an audience of Postgraduates and Fellows about their career and research, followed by a friendly and free-ranging discussion. Talk and discussion are normally completed by 7.15pm. Wine, Cheese, and Soft Drinks (entirely free) are served and consumed throughout.

The Fellow for this meeting will be Dr Helen Craske, Bye-Fellow in Modern Languages, who will talk about her career, culminating in her work on ‘Subversive French Literature: from Complicity to Saucy Magazines’.

Should you wish to attend, please let me know so a place can be reserved for you: pcm1000@dow.cam.ac.uk

An early reply is recommended as past Talks have filled the SCR to capacity.

These meetings are held under the auspices of the Sir William Frere Society, which aims to bring together Downing Postgraduates and Fellows to talk about mutual interests of study, research, and career.
