Catering in Michaelmas Term

The College Catering Department has been serving resident students and College staff throughout the recent months. There has been a huge effort put in to providing the best possible catering service within the current constraints. Unless Government regulations require any changes, from the beginning of Term, the catering provision will be as follows.

  • Servery take away service 8am to 7pm (Monday-Friday) and 10am to 7pm on weekends.
  • Breakfast served weekdays until 11am
  • Butterfield Taverna Café service 10am to 4pm (Monday-Friday)
  • Butterfield Taverna Bar service 8.30pm to 11.30pm.  The bar will be open 5 days per week. Exact days will be confirmed.

All Servery food service will be take-away with non-residential students welcome to use the Paddock to enjoy their meal, provided social distancing is respected.

All food and drink will be ordered via a system called ‘Order Ahead’. Orders can be placed from the time that the Servery opens. The app will be accessible via the UPay app already in use in the College. Freshers will need to download the app before they arrive. If anyone has problems with the app, then orders can also be placed via the UPay website.

Formal Halls

Currently, Formal Halls are not being held. The College appreciates that formal dining is an important part of College life but will keep this decision under review. Alternative celebrations are under development for special occasions such as Matriculation, Halloween and Christmas.
