Edward G (Gary) Blankenship A.I.A, 1968 Architecture (MLitt)
Gary has spent his career as an architect principally in airport consulting. He was the chief architect for John Wayne Airport (JWA) in Orange County, California, and was involved in JWA's $543M Airport Improvement Program and future infrastructure development. Gary's book, ‘The Airport’, was published in 1974 by Pall Mall Press, London; Verlag Gerd Hatje, Stutgart; and Praeger Publishers, New York.
Before his role at John Wayne Airport, Gary has been an integral part of the architectural firm Landrum & Brown and remains an Emeritus Member of the Board of Directors. He has been listed in Who's Who in America for 30 years, has been a member of the American Institute of Architects since 1974, and has been listed in the Blue book of Southampton (New York) for 30 + years.
Gary states "my association with Downing since 1968 has been one of my life's greatest blessings.”
