It has been announced that current Chief Justice Lahore, Pakistan, and alumnus of Downing College, Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has been elevated to the Supreme Court.
Professor Geoffrey Grimmett, Master of Downing College, has written to congratulate Justice Shah on his appointment to the Supreme Court. At the news of this appointment, Professor Grimmett says, "Downing is very proud to have Justice Shah amongst our members, and he brings us great distinction."
