Health-related information is available for students, both inside and outside the clinic. Consultations with the College Nurse, Sally Maccallum, are available without an appointment during clinic or alternatively students may contact Sally to arrange an appointment outside of normal clinic hours.
Sally is available to provide assessment and treatment of minor illness and injury and ongoing emotional support to both graduates and undergraduates throughout the year. She is able to help students with a wide range of medical and psychological difficulties and always has time to listen. As well as providing nursing care and carrying out dressings during clinic, she is happy to visit students in their rooms where appropriate. Other provision includes: removal of sutures, health information, chlamydia testing, relaxation, avoiding stress and smoking cessation support.

An accident form must be completed for any injury requiring first aid which is sustained on College property. Forms are available from the Porters’ Lodge. A well stocked first aid box is held in the Porters’ Lodge and all Porters are trained first aiders. Telephone: 01223 334800.
Allergies - Students who have had a serious allergic reaction or who have food allergies are asked to provide written information about their allergy/allergies on their Health Questionnaire. In some cases, it will be necessary for the College Nurse to discuss their allergy/allergies with the student before their arrival to College or else within the first 48 hours of their arrival.
