2016 Photographic Competition
The theme of this year's Photographic Competition was "Within three miles of the Master's Lodge". It resulted in a record 66 entries, many of which were of very high quality, from no less than 17 entrants.
The Competition was judged on June 7th by the Assistant Bursar, Dick Taplin, the President of the Association, Leo Judd, and Associate Fellow, Neville Tait.
'Minatures' of the first, second and third prize winning photographs are shown opposite. These and all highly commended and commended entries may be seen on flickr.
Mounted copies of the same photographs were exhibited on Alumni and Association Day. This proved to be an excellent opportunity to demonstrate one of the ways in which the Association interacts with the student population. Indeed, many of those present said how impressed they were with the quality of the exhibits and how welcome it was to see A4-size prints en masse rather than flicking through images on a screen.
The competition was organised by Neville Tait, whom we must also thank for printing and mounting the photographs displayed.
