All meals (breakfast, lunch, evening meal and Formal Hall) are available in College. None are compulsory. At lunch and evening meal there is a choice of main course, as well as soup, salads, pudding, yoghurt, fruit and drinks. Vegetarian meals are always available and other dietary regimes can be accommodated by consulting the Catering Manager. Baguettes and sandwich lunches from the Butterfield Café are also very popular.
A typical two-course cafeteria meal costs around £3.45. The charge for Formal Hall is £9.50 per College member and £12.50 for each guest. If you wish to arrange a private Formal Hall, e.g. to celebrate a birthday, please contact the Internal Events Co-ordinator (dining@dow.cam.ac.uk). The charge for a private Formal Hall is £12.50 per College member and £15.25 for each guest.
Meals for graduate students are available in College with a limited service out of Term. Meals may also be obtained at the University Centre, Granta Place, Mill Lane which has a cafeteria open seven days a week throughout most of the year.
